Community Presentations

community We offer a number of ways for you to understand what mental illness is and the many ways in which many people recover from mental illness.

These presentations are meant for any public or private organization who need to better understand the people they work with – or for… This means libraries, hospitals, banks, retail businesses, large companies or organizations, places of worship, police stations and academies, and anywhere where one might  interact with people who have mental illnesses. For the record – this means everyone!

One of our most relevant and poignant presentations is

In Our Own Voices

This program is an 90 minute presentation by articulate poised and intelligent people who have been through the darker days of moderate to severe mental illness and are now in recovery. They share their stories and their hearts with you. Mental Illness is explained and demystified.  An accompanying video provides facts and further testimonial. A Q & A session at the end is often the highlight as you quickly come to understand that the prejudices with which you may have entered the room are now gone and you have a whole new understanding of what mental illness is, and isn’t.

Customized for you…

NAMI CCNS is able to tailor any presentation to your needs. Whether you have a certain topic in mind, or simply a limited time slot, we will work with you to make the presentation happen.
