Who can participate in your programs?
Anyone affected by mental illness—individuals, family members, caregivers, teachers, and community members—is welcome. No diagnosis is required, and all services are free.

Our administrative offices are in Skokie, Illinois, and we serve the north and northwest suburbs of Chicago, including areas of Cook and Lake Counties. Many of our programs are available online.
How is NAMI CCNS funded?
We are funded through individual donations, private and corporate grants, and fundraising events like our annual Gala and NAMIWalks. We receive no government funding.
How can I get involved?
You can volunteer, join a support group, become a program leader, attend or support an event, or make a donation. Your involvement helps us keep all programs free.
Are your programs really free?
Yes, every program, group, and training is 100% free thanks to the generosity of donors, funders, and volunteers.
Are you part of NAMI National?
Yes. We are a local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), but operate independently to serve our community’s needs directly.
Do you provide therapy or crisis services?
We don’t provide clinical services, but we do offer support, education, and resources. If you’re in crisis, call or text 988 for immediate help.
How do I register for a program?
You can register for most programs and groups through our online calendar. Some programs require advance registration, while others are drop-in.
