Personality Disorders: Persistently Stigmatized Webinar

With Meghan Rosenzweig LCPC

May 22, 2024, 07:00 PM Central Time

This webinar is designed to assist with the destigmatization of those who have been given a diagnosis of a personality disorder. We will explore how to best assist in setting boundaries, de-escalating a crisis, and providing ongoing care to reduce the need for the cyclical nature of hospitalization and refusal of care that often is associated with the diagnosis of a personality disorder. This webinar will also provide the basic information on diagnostic criteria for the primary personality disorders seen in most therapeutic settings.

Objectives:

  1. Better understand how to support and encourage growth for those who have been given a diagnosis of a persistent personality disorder.
  2. Provide information in better understanding how to de-stigmatize and provide support to those with a diagnosis or presenting traits of personality disorders in our communities.
  3. Better understand what a personality disorder is and how it presents and impacts an individual in the community.
