Here at NAMI we understand that indeed brains can and do get sick sometimes – like any other body part.

In our education classes and presentations we aim to provide you with a clear and relevant understanding of how brains might get sick, what one can do about it, where to turn and perhaps most importantly, how brain disorders affect relationships and what to do to handle these relationships. We make great efforts to dismiss the stigma and preudice that too often goes hand in hand with references to mental illness. We enlighten people with where to go for appropriate resources and how to be partners, allies and friends to those who are challenged by mental illness.
